Carly Foulkes’ best of 2016 is a roundhouse kick of good style and good times. Her imaginative work and knack gorgeous coloring schemes keep us dreaming of projects to come. We’ve seen some really special creations from her this year. But one of our favorite moments for Foulkes was in April when she put on her incredible show, Gardenia, featuring a series featuring women in nature, unadorned, naked yet not sexualized, and undeniably empowered in their flesh. From her collage work to editorials, everything this woman touches carry a sense of the strange and the magical.
