NYC-based label Fransizka Fox takes a retro approach to modern day knitwear in their latest FW16 lookbook. Designers Julia Fox and Briana Andalore match contemporary cutout detailing and bodycon silhouettes with the classic concept of set dressing for an effortless, sophisticated collection that begs to be bought head-to-toe. 70’s inspired styling (see: fur puff drop earrings and thick black eyeliner) adds a touch of ‘Mad Men’ à la Megan Draper, a clear POV that helps to break Franziska Fox away from the pack of Alexander Wang wannabes.
“Maintaining simple silhouettes while incorporating non-traditional design elements encompasses the notion of women breaking natural forms and fearlessly embracing who they are,” designers explain. The brand focuses on dressing women who are seductive, alluring and inspirational, so it’s no wonder Fox has developed a following among power babes like Nicki Minaj and Kylie Jenner – not to mention they’ve got our attention too.
