Down Lewers Street in Waikiki Beach, the Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club is about to open its doors on March 31st. This 4-star, art-infused hotel embraces vintage beach culture and adds a modern flare. Created for the travelers who stray from the standard path and seek out a more unique experience.
The 112 bungalows are each designed with meticulous love and craft: reed ceilings, private lanais, and carefully curated art work to tie the whole vibe together. It’s 60’s beach-esque with a modern aloha spirit. Throughout the Surfjack Hotel you will find they have spared no detail, working with local creatives to give the space it’s own voice, such as the custom handmade wallpaper by Andrew Mau.
Swim Club will be hosting an array of events from poolside DJ’s to creative workshops. There is a variety of unique experiences like a foraging hike with a local botanist, paddle outs with surf historians, and mid-century modern design architectural tours of Honolulu. Mahina and Sun’s is their onsite eatery. Created by local chef Ed Kenney, featuring “elevated home cooking with a Hawaiian sense of place.”
There are countless ways to keep yourself busy, and of course an endless array of ways to do the exact opposite. So, no matter what kind of vacationer you are the Surfjack has a particular way of catering to your every whim.
