Art Crush: Found, Never Seen Before Photos Of The Stones

Last week my girlfriend Lauren White unveiled “Found,” a set of never before exhibited photos of the early Rolling Stones on a road trip in the U.S. back in 1965. Twenty-three beautiful, intimate photographs were lost in a box and found at a random flea market in Saugus, CA.

Wanderlust: Christopher Swainston’s “Oblivion”

Photographer Christopher Swainston shoots an exclusive for Live Fast Mag and plays with the soul of the the human condition against desolate locations smashed in a double exposure. Swainston tagged along on a trip to Ely, Nevada with photographer Steven Stone while he was shooting Zuriick’s latest lookbook campaign and captured these behind the scenes images. Feel the softness of humanity as you experience this fleeting yet tender day that our protagonists drive through.

Giveaway: Lookmatic x Loeffler Randall Shades [Closed]

Our friends over at Lookmatic recently collaborated with Loeffler Randall‘s Jessie Randall to design a modernized 1960′s cat eye frame in a funky horn color resembling leather. We love these shades, so we decided to give two pairs away… Everybody needs a good pair of statement glasses!

Babe Talk: Leore Hayon of The Girl Habit

When Israeli, Moroccan, Swedish and Italian beauty genes mix, you get a stunner like L.A.-based model and actress Leore Hayon. With her wild, untamed hair, deep green eyes, contagious smile and unique style, she is one of our favorite new faces right now - I could honestly stare at her all day and we are thrilled to feature her in this week’s babe talk. Enjoy our Q&A and watch out for this rising star!

Interview Series: Daniel Rolnik Curates INTERVIEWS

I might be biased, but I just love when writers venture into art curation. This past summer, Daniel Rolnik - a freelance art critic based in Los Angeles - has used his connections and creative sensibility to bring together a sweet line-up of contemporary artists (Joshua Petker, Jim Mahfood, Ellen Schinderman, Will Deutsch, Ryan McIntosh and many more) for his first show at CURIO gallery in Venice Beach.

INTERVIEWS opens Saturday, October 6th from 7-11pm at Curio Studio and Collection in Venice Beach (324 Sunset Avenue Venice, CA 90291). The exhibition will feature  paintings, sculptures, and photographs – 68 pieces in total. We had a chance to chat with Rolnik about this latest project, and here’s what he had to say:

Interview Series: Judith Supine “Too Much For One Man”

A lot of magazine clipping and much resin huffing have been going on since we last wrote about enigmatic Brooklyn artist Judith Supine. This is the final week to check out his latest body of work off the streets, a solo exhibition at Jonathan Levine gallery in New York. He claims it’s “Too Much For One Man,” but I think you can handle it…

Lookbook Lust: Jerome C. Rousseau FW12 (Video)

Shoes can be your best asset – a real weapon of seduction – and designer Jerome C. Rousseau has made it his career and his mission to make our legs look our best! His latest collection for FW12 is a real treat for the ladies, so let’s get festive with some of our favorite styles (sparkles, please!). Bet you’ll also enjoy this fabulous fashion video created in collaboration with director Jessica Hundley… Dance party, anyone?

Babe Talk: Makeup Artist Gia Brascia

I remember so clearly chatting with L.A.-based makeup artist and creative Giavonna Brascia while sitting at a bar at LAX in transit on my way to Montreal in early 2011. A young, fearless Gia was telling me with passion how she wanted to see the world and to find a way for her craft to take her there. A year later, the babe has out-traveled me x 100. She’s a living example that if you follow your gut and keep your eyes on the prize, goodness happens. Oh and being hot and talented helps for sure. In this featured editorial set in Miami and titled Gods of Blood and Thunder, my gorgeous friend plays muse for the one and only, Charis Kirchheimer.

Giveaway: LOVE IS ART, So Make It! [closed]

Earlier this year we posted about the LOVE IS ART kit, a whimsical intimacy product brought to market by South African abstract artist Jeremy Brown. Under Klein and Warhol’s influence, Brown had been creating several of his body of work during sex and decided to transform his extravagant bedroom habit into a painter’s kit that anyone could use. SO FUN! We thought you’d want to try it, too, so here you go, we’re raffling two! Good luck!

Interview Series: BB Bastidas

Los Angeles artist BB Bastidas has always had a thing for the outerspace. His colorful artistic universe is rich in Aliens, starry skies, apex predators and more awesome cosmic psychedelia. It seems like he recently found conceptual climax blending contemporary cultural references, astrological and mythological tidbits and life slices from very own birth chart in a very personal series of paintings titled BB The Extra Terrestrial, shown in Paris earlier this summer. I had a chance to sit down with BB and chat about his recent travels, ideas, icons and dreams. Enjoy!

Lookbook Lust: Bellerose FW12

When Justin sent me the latest lookbook for Belgian apparel brand Bellerose I almost fell out of my chair! This collection channels the very core of a chalet chic style I know so well from growing up way up North. I used to be all about layering, patchwork, thick wool socks in patent mary jane pumps and birds of prey. What a blast from the past… Love it!

Lingerie Guide: Dottie’s Delights Bricolage Collection

Soon after briefly working with Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant I started building up a pretty sweet collection of fabulous vintage-inspired foundation garments and shapewear… If you’re looking to indulge in something out of the ordinary my darlings, I say ditch Victoria’s Secret and check out Chicago-based Dottie’s Delight, a wonderful label making brassieres, bustiers, girdles, garter belts and knickers seemingly straight out of Trudy Campbell’s gone wild lingerie cabinet.

Art Crush: David Chambon

Good morning, gorgeous! How strangely fantastic do these weird little beasts look, covered in morning dew and captured by French photographer David Chambon‘s macro lens? He calls himself an amateur photographer, but this series is phenomenal!

Interview Series: Nick Corradi (NSFW)

L.A.-based photographer Nick Corradi knows quite a bit about beautiful women. His Tumblr and Instagram feeds never fail to entertain as he vogues through life and shoots his girlfriends, showcasing new faces with a sexy edge and a lot of passion. We had a chance to sit down with Nick for a quick chat, and here’s what he had to say:

What would you do with 750,000 Aeroplan Miles? [closed]

Let’s be honest… most of us take globetrotting for granted. Flying is innately part of our generation’s culture. We thrive on wanderlust and firmly believe that traveling shapes youth. We expect WiFi for free and for all and a stellar customer service via airlines’ Twitter feeds. We cringe at the only thought of people smoking in airplanes. Sometimes I think we simply forget that only 75 years ago some of the major airlines (like Air Canada) were just being founded.
