Old School Meets New School: Dogtown Skateboards and Diamond Supply Co. Team Up

If you know skateboarding or if you even know California, then you’re familiar with the names Dogtown Skateboards and Diamond Supply Co. Both staples within the skate industry and both with differing legacies, they’re individually iconic brands in their own right.

Dogtown, named after the once-seedy underbelly of 1960’s Santa Monica, was born in the 1970’s when surfers ditched the fins and water and opted for wheels and pavement. Celebrating their 40th anniversary last year, Dogtown remains a pillar in skateboarding legacy. Diamond Supply Co. was founded in 1998 by Nick Diamond in San Francisco. Focused on skill and craftsmanship, Diamond represents the power of an owner-operated skate brand that is reflected across all aspects of the brand – from the team full of skating’s biggest names to their nearly 2o years of business.

The collaboration between Dogtown Skateboards and Diamond Supply Co. comes to life in the form of a timeless capsule collection dropping on September 2 at midnight. The Dogtown Skateboards cross gets the Diamond Supply Co. treatment, merchandised onto t-shirts, caps, outerwear and a deck. A merging of legacies to represent the culture of modern-day skateboarding, the Diamond Supply Co. x Dogtown capsule collection is both nostalgic and refreshing.

The Dogtown x Diamond Supply Co. lookbook is shot by Lance Dawes and features Shota Kubo,  Race Nagel,  Peter Ellis, Chris Rennie and Ben Deavies. Shop the collection here & in-store starting tomorrow!
