I’ve art crushed on designer and illustrator Kate Worum before. Her style is punchy and fresh, we went to the same high school, and her Instagram is a veritable breeding ground for inspiration. So, while I wasn’t surprised when I fell in love with her newest project, I was delighted on the daily by watching it unfold. Enter stage right: By SheShe.
She She is a custom hand-painted wallpaper company. Uh, did someone say genius? Created in tandem with interior architect Jennifer Jorgensen, the pair experienced simultaneous breakups and thus magic was made in the wake. In redefining what they wanted in life, they followed that fearless tug into the unknown and moved to make By SheShe a real business. They now sell customs wallpaper rolls to order, in addition to their unique hand-painted room installations.
The idea: merge original artwork with interior design on a more accessible level while traveling the world, creating endlessly, and bringing a new kind of joy into your home. Based out of Minneapolis, the girls are ready and willing to travel. They approach every project based on storytelling and a strong point of view. They will work with you or create from scratch an entirely original design for your space. A room takes between 2-7 days depending on the dimensions.
