James Jean’s Studio Makes It to the Architizer A+ Awards

Known as the largest awards program celebrating architecture and products, the Architizer A+ Awards functions as a curated selection of some of the best names in the architectural community. James Jean’s home/studio, designed by Dan Brunn Architecture, has been selected as a finalist for the Architizer A+ Awards.

Perhaps the most striking part of Jean’s abode is the stairs. Smooth wood blends different hues to create a sleek corridor. In a recent post on Jean’s Facebook, he shared, “The stairs were created by using an algorithm to calculate the most optimized curve based on a selection of my drawings. It is also a nod to Duchamp’s Nude Descending a Staircase, No.2.”

Without a doubt, James Jean’s home is nothing short of exquisite and Dan Brunn’s vision is worthy of recognition. Cast your vote here by March 30th and view the rest of Jean’s studio here.
