Take Your Next Date Time Traveling Here

I’ve been obsessed with roller rinks for years now. I used to frequent one growing up in the Midwest aptly named Cheapskate. I wrote a short story in grad school about a girl who takes to the rink to cope with death of her best friend. Just the other day I dragged my sister skating even though it was her birthday. So, when I stumbled across this killer compilation this morning, dedicated to one of the most lovely rinks I’ve laid eyes on, I had to perpetuate the awesomeness.

Moonlight Rollerway in Los Angeles is a decadent vintage tribute to a time I want so badly to go back to. Some things are better left unfucked-with and we are so thankful that is the case here. It’s a decoupage of time travel: the rainbow florescent lighting, the skates, the disco ball, and terrible carpeting. I’m just saying, if someone took me on a date here, they’d be seriously winning. Any takers??
