We are fast approaching our annual Summer Tour, that time of the year we throw caution to the wind and set out for parts unknown. Last year we spent 72 hours in London, wandered around Cinque Terre, fell in love with Paris, sang karaoke in Tokyo, and recharged with our friends in Bali. This year, we head to Turkey first to show you Istanbul, Cappadocia and the colorful province of Izmir, then we head over to Croatia for some much needed r&r on the coastline. The trip will wrap up with a short & sweet pit stop in Barcelona.
But first things first: what to pack?
Istanbul is all about Mosques and Mosaics, a delicacy of detail for the eye that inspires an eclectic look. Bohemian embroidery and fringe accessories add a free spirit vibe to our favorite BB Dakota dress.
We’ll be traveling to Split and Dubrovnik, a town so well known for it’s old world charm that it booked a Game of Thrones role as the set of King’s Landing. Pops of pastel- the soft pink Kupe rooftops, or the sparkling aquamarine of the Adriatic- take centerstage against a washed neutrality of limestone facades. The palette is clean and crisp, calling for an understated wardrobe with hints of classic mediterranean styling. We’re packing our Amuse Society swimwear for under a sundress, worn with a lace-up sandal.
This cosmopolitan beach town is vibrant and progressive. Color plays as much a part in the landscape as it does in the food, architecture and nightlife. There is an energy here unlike any other stop on our tour, so we want to feel sporty and modern with a sexy twist. We’re feeling Wrangler Australia denim dressed up with neon and print, with our white Supra’s completing the look.
