2015 marks the fifth anniversary of renowned fashion designer, Alexander McQueen’s death. While McQueen may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on through his work and will be celebrated beyond measure in the retrospective, Savage Beauty, due to open March 2015 at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The iconic fashion house moves forward this season with its SS15 campaign photographed by David Sims featuring model Karolin Wolter, showcasing thick Japanese-inspired patterns, exaggerated tailoring with unusually long sleeves, thinned out eyebrows and plummeting v-necklines,
The woman of McQueen’s SS15 campaign is not one to be played the fool. She is bold, challenging and dominant. She rests alone seeking the comforts of dulled lighting at dawn, ever present and always observing.
