The Essentials No. 2

Over the past few years I have become a lousy writer. Perhaps because I am too busy, or because I am lazy, or even because I never disconnect from my Internet bubble and read a novel unless I am in another idyllic universe ~ say on the train between Cinque Terre and Nice or on a balcony overlooking rice fields in Bali. I’ve neglected the creative process in favor of other activities revolving around strategy, business and management (the hustle) – which are sometimes just as intellectual and often quite rewarding, except that I recently came to realize that I forgot how to tell a story in a way that’s not completely mechanical and marketing driven. This is what I’m going to try to break away from, by writing a little something here every Friday. Real talk, my photography + a couple links that caught my eye during the week…
