Living in San Francisco has many perks. One of the most anticipated event of the year for Bay Area locals has to be Outside Lands, a large scale music festival and party set in the lush – and usually foggy – Golden Gate Park. Though spots of sunlight are always welcomed moments, most people know to show up with a few layers to keep cozy, but quickly warm up to the wild dance parties, screaming fans, and some of the best live music around. This year, Outside Lands gave festival-goers an extra day, extending it to three days instead of two, and most people kept the party train going.
With well over sixty bands, there was no shortage of music, including acts like Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Jack White, Justice and Die Antwoord. Fans cheered fervently, most dressed to the T in festival gear. Outside Lands brings out the fashionista in everyone – it’s a three day window of self-expression for San Franciscans to flaunt their eclectic stlyle – where 60s flower child meets modern hipster meets burner. Have a look at the photo board below of the fashion, music and all around good times, as people let loose and enjoyed the long dazed and confused weekend.
