John Crawford has found his muse in model Carina, from his birds-eye lens in the sky. The Auckland-based photographer has always been interested in aerial capture, and his new series “Aerial Nudes” shows his deep understanding of design, but with a unique twist. Photographed from a helicopter directly above the subject, we see the earth’s big picture juxtaposed against Carina’s small nude body. The series feels like an ode to humans being a very small part of an infinitely larger context.
