Art Crush: Schwarm

Commissioned by design publisher Thomas Eyck, German artists Beate Reinheimer and Ulrike Rehm created “schwarm,” a collection of limited edition glazed porcelain vases shaped like all sorts of funky bugs and beetles.

Inspired by nature and the wilderness, the designers picked ten different type of beetles and reshaped them before glazing them using different techniques, colors and effects. The results are striking – and the price is right: $500 a piece! Time to take your butterfly collection to the next level!
