Time Travel: Vintage Paris

We’ve been so off-the-hook modern lately with our travel posts, we thought it a good idea change it up a little bit and work the time travel angle. It’s always so fun to look at vintage anything, really, but we especially love the photos below because they involve two of our favorite things: Paris and hot air balloons! Part of the Tissandier Collection, they document the early history of aeronautics with an emphasis on balloon flight in France from 1780-1890. It’s incredible to see the advancements in air flight back then, especially when soaring above the Eiffel Tower!
