Getting Horny At Hop Woo: Aphrodisiac Dinner

Eddie Lin of Deep End Dining and Val Herrera of Trippy Food invited a colorful group of foodies for an aphrodisiac dinner – Chinese style – last Saturday at Hop Woo B.B.Q. & Seafood Restaurant in L.A.’s Chinatown. Pizzle soup prepared with love by Chef Lupe Liang? Hell I couldn’t say no.

This particular dish I came for, however, was not my favorite part of the meal. The beefy broth, enhanced with Chinese medicinal herbs – clearly the source of all aphrodisiac properties of the soup – was pretty tasty, but the bull dick itself, bit too gooey for my taste. Safe to say I like my pizzle hard.

Below is the most sea urchin I’ve ever been served at once. I have been addicted to this delicacy for years now, ordering it everytime I go for sushi. Apparently, it does a lot to perk up a lady’s libido. No wonder it kinda tastes like pussy…

The balls you see in this pic, here served with lobster and noodles, are not garlic bulbs. They’re actual rooster balls, and they are absolutely amazing. I’d eat them again in a heartbeat!

In Chinese medicine, goji berries are administered strengthen the adrenal system, believed to be a center of sexual energy. They are also said to improve fertility.
